Neil Gaiman, of Stardust and Coraline is my new favorite writer. Last week he was in Berkeley, and I was lucky enough to be able to attend his reading of Coraline there. It was really great. I've got pictures of the event over at my main page, www.standarddeviant.org . I also recommend Neverwhere and American Gods, but it sounds like you've got a lot on your plate right now. Good luck with those!

Well, you tried, I guess. And that's what counts. I guess I shall have to get myself down to Cali and hunt this guy down, girlfriend or not!

Have fun in Monterey!

Was much the fun (although by 10:45 when we finally clocked out my feet were in so much pain I thought I was going to die), and we 3 live far too close together to not see each other more often.

We shall have to become better planners.

Hey Anna!

So glad that you two could visit. Busy night at the store, eh?

I hope you enjoy CORALINE -- my review of the book is up at Amazon.com now.

Thank you both for taking the trip! smile
