Yes, Casablanca does rock! We've had a heat wave here too...want the heat to stop. Want coldness!

I bet you and Susan are going to have a blast.

Posted by Kristina at June 30, 2002 10:49 PM didn't blog in five days... not that I'm suggesting anything. wink I need to see Casablanca at some point.

I'm so jealous of Susan! I want to come visit you next week too!

Maybe I can just quit my job, and drive cross country to see you? Would that work? smile

And yes - Casablanca = brilliance.

Ok, here's my remedy for hot and humid weather (and keep in mind I'm from Arizona, where it's like 15% humidity right now). But I have been to pretty humid places (yay Baltimore!), and this makes it so much better:

Get some classic blues on the stereo (Etta James, Nina Simone, Stevey Ray wink), or some pretty mellow summery songs, turn on a fan, and drink some (homemade) sweet tea. The stickiness actually feels moody and kinda groovin', especially if you have a porch to sit on during all this. It's relaxing and it makes it seem less bad. Especially if a friend is with you.

Anyway, it's my humidity ritual and makes me feel better when I'm confronted with unwelcome sauna-ness. wink

Okay, okay, I'll go see Casablanca... wink

Hope you guys have fun. I'm much too melting to even begin to think of what to do.

It's probably something I shouldn't admit, but I've never ever seen Casablanca. Yet another movie to add to my 'must see' list....
