City Child, a
fanlisting for the character Eloise and the book series she stars in, as well as the movies based on them. Written by Kay Thompson and illustrated by Hilary Knight,
Kay Thompon's Eloise: A Book for Precocious Grown-ups was originally published in 1955. In the original book and four sequels, six year old Plaza Hotel resident Eloise easily captured the hearts of thousands, adults and children alike, with her skibbling and scampering. Eloise remains rawther popular to this day, having recently inspired two movies starring Julie Andrews & Sofia Vassilieva:
Eloise at the Plaza and
Eloise at Christmastime, both of which aired on ABC's "Wonderful World of Disney" in 2003.
