a plea for john crichton

A quick plea...

Does anyone out there tape Farscape? I missed last week's episode (the January 17th episode - "Terra Firma") since I was at my aunt's and my dad forgot to tape. I'm more than willing to pay for a tape and postage, and you'll also get my undying love!

Please please!

kc is a fucking bitch

Rant alert. So, some of you may or may not know KC aka Sam. She used to be a friend of Susan's. In fact, the first time I met Susan in the summer of 2001, she flew out to San Francisco with Sam and we stayed in a hotel there and I showed them around the town, etc. I covered the cost of the hotel by putting it on my credit card... it took me about six months, maybe more, to get Sam to pay me back.

During that same trip, Sam had setup a picnic event in LA through her Roswell fan club, though Susan ended up covering the costs and doing most of the organizing, while Sam took much of the credit. Susan also paid for Sam's plane ticket for that trip, as well as PBP 2002, which Sam ended up not going on, though Susan was still stuck paying for part of it. All in all, Sam owed Susan a couple thousand. I still can't believe she loaned her that much, but you have to understand that Susan cares about her friends and wants them to have fun, etc. Unfortunately, it turned out that Sam wasn't much of a friend. On the PBP 2002 trip, we discovered that Sam had been lying about some MAJOR things to Susan for quite a while. Susan has been trying since then to get Sam to pay her back. I've e-mailed Sam, Susan's e-mailed her, we've called, left messages, sent letters... Susan started charging interest (since all the stuff is on her credit cards and she's paying interest), though has now stopped and Sam now owes her close to $6000. Back in July, we finally made contact with Sam and she agreed to start paying Susan in installments come September. September shows up, and no money. October whizzes by, still no money. Sam makes contact, but gives Susan a ton of bullshit excuses as to why she can't pay her just yet... just wait a week, she always says. Susan waits, and nada.

We've been keeping an eye on her blog to see what she's up to (though all of it could be lies, of course... she's know for being a liar), and now she says she's in England. She hasn't replied to Susan in a couple months, but we know she's been reading her e-mails. I'm just completely disgusted with Sam. The way she's treated Susan is completely horrifying and awful. Sam constantly complains that she has such a hard life, blah blah blah and that's why she can't do such and such, yet she makes Susan's life a living hell full of credit card bills and debt. I'm starting to wonder if she's even human. She simply disgusts me. And it takes a lot for me to be THAT disgusted with someone.

So. I just had to tell that story. Susan and I have been staying close-mouthed in the hopes that Sam would just pay up, but obviously, she doesn't care how much pain she causes Susan, so I don't care if the whole world hears how awful she is. (Not that the whole world reads my blog... hardly.) Susan's attempting to contact her parents, but I don't know how much good that will do. If only we had a contact address for Sam... then Susan could just take her to small claims court. Sigh.

Onto nicer and more pleasant things... forgot to mention in my last entry that Jeff rocks. And not just for agreeing with me about the mangling of Faramir in "The Two Towers"... but also because he has a kick ass site. And of course I give mad props to Addie. Always!

That's it from me... feel the need to grab some coffee some Willow Glen. Later gators!

Yay yay yay. Becoming, Part

Yay yay yay. Becoming, Part 1 is on FX. "Show me. Show me your world." Sigh. I adore this episode (and, of course, Becoming, Part 2... they work so well together). I've seen it countless times and yet it always amazes me. Okay, I just love the show as a whole... I can't even imagine what it's going to be like after the show ends. No new Buffy episodes to look forward to. That's going to throw my world out of whack. Sigh. Must not try to dwell on that thought or I'll become all sniff-ly.

I'm so happy to have DSL back... we switched providers and had to wait for the new DSL modem to arrive, so I was forced to use dial-up for the past week or so. Which meant I could only come online late at night otherwise I'd tie up the phone line. NOT fun. Now I'm all speedy again. So lovely!

Oooh... something fun to blog about... stealing this from Kristina:

The Great Procrastination Survey of 2003

[1] If you could be instantly fluent in one other language that you currently do not read or speak, which would it be?:
German. Also, I would LOVE to know Elvish.

[2] If you could have the starring role in any film already made, what would it be?:
Eowyn in "The Two Towers" and "The Return of the King"

[3] If you could receive one small package this very moment, who would it be from and what would be in it?:
My "Chicago" soundtrack from Amazon. Where the heck is it?!?!?

[4] If you could own one painting from any collection in the world but were not able to sell it, which work of art would you select?:
Van Gogh's "Starry Night"

[5] If you were instantly able to play one musical instrument perfectly that you never have played before, what would it be?:
Guitar

[6] If you could possess one supernatural ability, what would it be?:
Have to copy Susan: Teleportation. How cool would that be?

[7] If you had to choose the most valuable thing you ever learned what would it be?:
"Life's not a song / Life isn't bliss / Life is just this / It's living"

[8] If you could have only one piece of furniture in your house, what would it be?:
My bed. I need my sleep!

[9] If you could read the private diary of someone you know personally, whose diary would it be?:
Hmmm... I know I'm lame, but no one. I really don't want to read into someone else's personal thoughts.

[10] If you could have one person you know as your slave (well-paid and cared for) domestic laborer for one month, who would it be?:
Colin Farrell. Gah. That accent.

[11] If you could choose the way you will die, how would you want it to happen?:
In my sleep.

[12] If you could wake up tomorrow to learn that the major newspaper headlines were about you, what would you want them to say?:
'Anna wins $300 million in the lottery!' Seriously. I want that freaking money.

[13] If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?:
Hehehehe. And I didn't even read this one before answering the previous question. First thing: set my parents up in Eureka.

[14] If you could choose the music at your funeral, what would it be, and who would play it?:
Mozart's "Ah Tutti Contenti" from The Marriage of Figaro.

[15] If you could take away the vocal cords of any person, who would it be?:
Celine Dion. I HATE those new Chrysler commercials.

[16] If you had to describe your idea of the perfect mate, how would you do it?:
Someone I feel comfortable with... has a great sense of humor, kind, compassionate, and strong.

[17] If you had to have a personal friend redecorate your house, who would you pick to do it?:
Hmmm... Susan. Her taste is pretty similar to mine.

[18] If you had to choose the worst home you've ever lived in, which one was it?:
I've never had a bad home.

[19] If you could have prevented one thing from happening between you and a friend, what would it have been?:
Losing contact with Laura. I miss her.

[20] If you could learn the total number of hours you have spent in your life doing one thing, what would it be?:
Reading.

[21] If you had to describe yourself as a child in one word, what would it be?:
Carefree

[22] If you could own a single prop from any film ever made what would you
choose?:

Yoda's lightsaber from "Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones" or Arwen's pendant from "The Lord of the Rings"

That was fun. :o) And now, I think I shall go enjoy the rest of the episode and chat with Susan. Toodles!

and i ran... i ran so far away

I can't wait for February. February 12th to be precise. Why, you ask? Because it's the first day of my vacation time from work. It's also the day Susan arrives in San Jose! And the next day, we're heading to L.A. for the PBP. Aaaaaaaah. January, get your ass in gear!

Saw "The Two Towers" for the third time yesterday. God, I love that movie. It's so beautiful and astounding. I'm already dying for the DVD set... must sate my hunger by watching "Fellowship" multiple times. And in between that, I'll be trying to watch every BtVS episode before the finale in May, since it's likely it will be the series finale. Hmmm... I think I can manage it.

Oooh... must plug Liz who now has her own blog! Yay! And a gorgeous "Prophecy Girl" as well. Everyone should go visit her and give her praise and love. She deserves it!

Also, love and good thoughts to Emily. I'm thinking of you, chica.

Hmmm... and with that, I think I'm stopping... too tired to think of something witty and entertaining. wink Night!

tired in the mind

Muchas muchas gracias to everyone who left comments and/or signed the guestbook in response to the new Restless Innocence layout. Including, but not limited to:

Connie, Victoria, Sara, Jenah, Kristina, Emily, SocKs, Little Willow, Thomas, Angie, Katie, Stef, Katie, Addie, Zinna, Chelsea, Stef, Kacie, Freddi, Jenny, Christie, Anna, Anne, Jaina, Heather, Hope, WTH, Melissa, and Amanda.

Phew. Okay, when I said limited to, I lied. At least I think that's everyone. I hope I didn't miss anyone! Again, thank you all. It means a lot to me to read all your lovely messages. :o)

Hmmmmm... hope everyone had a lovely New Year's! Mine was pleasant. Not overly exciting, but quiet and nice. Jeffy, Leanna, and I went grocery shopping, made dinner here (tortellini, salad, and garlic bread), then went to the movies. Leanna and I saw "Chicago" (which is AWESOME... go see it!) and Jeffy saw "Maid in Manhattan" because she had seen "Chicago" on stage in London and wasn't interested in the movie, and I refuse to see "Maid in Manhattan" because Jennifer Lopez is in it. So that worked out nicely. Came home, hung out playing Trivial Pursuit and watching "The Princess Bride" until midnight rolled around... had champagne and dessert while watching Dick Clark in NYC. And that was about it... we watched bits of Dick Clark's show, as well as the show on MTV, but that we were all in bed by 1:30am. So, like I said, nothing thrilling (which is why I'm guessing you're all asleep by now... sorry about that!), but pleasant, nonetheless.

Hmmmmm... other than that, I've just been working. Thursday was freaking INSANE. Busy the whole day... I kept waiting for it to slow down and people to stop returning things... but no... apparently our customers don't want fines for returning items late. Imagine that! Ah well... I made it through that excrutiatingly long day.

Didn't do much today... weird things going on at home... too long to explain... suffice it to say my brother can be an idiot, the dog needs to learn to calm down in the presence of cats (she likes to chase them), my brother needs to listen to me when I tell him it looks like the dog has hives and may have been stung by a bee, and my mom did not break her pelvis (THANK GOD)... just badly bruised from a fall off the stepladder in the kitchen.

Yeah... so I'm sure that left people with questions... I'm too tired to explain everything fully though. I think I should go veg... clear my mind... I'm exhausted even though I've just been hanging around the house all day.

Oh! But I have to plug other people with new layouts first... Connie is back! Yay! And with a lovely layout and new domain! Jenah has a gorgeous new layout featuring Sandra Bullock... adorable picture, chica! Stef has beautiful Two Towers layouts at her domain and her blog. And the blog even has Aragorn/Legolas... hehehehe! Oooh... and Greyangel has an amazing new Princess Bride layout! And lastly (btw, I'm sure I missed people... if I did, apologies!), Freddi has a brand spanking new domain - Lucky19.com which looks just lovely. So, go enjoy all the new pretty graphics everywhere.

And to finish it up, just so you can all be frightened and feel the need to never meet me in life in order to avoid hearing me sing live, there are a couple mp3s of me attempting to sing "I'll Never Tell" and Azure Ray's "Displaced" up at Emily and Bri's gorgeous site, Cover Me. I encourage you all to head over there and submit something. If I can do it, so can you! Also, someone who has a name that comes before mine alphabetically needs to submit so I don't have to be listed first on each page for all of eternity. smile
