[EKT Facts]:
- "Innocence" is my all time favorite BtVS episode. "Restless" is a close second.
- My favorite book of all time is Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird.
- My favorite Shakespeare plays are "Hamlet" and "A Midsummer Night's Dream."
- My favorite of the Harry Potter books are Goblet of Fire and Deathly Hallows.
- If I could live anywhere in the world I wanted, I'd be in Hawaii right now. And then I'd probably decide I missed California and move back.
- My brother's name is Bryan. My parents are Melanie and Dennis.
- I have a personalized license plate on my car that is BtVS related.
- I can live without coffee in the morning, but I can't live without orange juice.
- The top of my computer monitor is adorned by Albus of the Frickin' Chicken Brigade.
- I have a metal rod and four pins in the middle of my tibia bone in my right leg (broken leg when I was 15... long story).
- I'm a Democrat. I'm pro-choice. I support gay marriage.
- I have a tendency to purchase more CDs, books, and movies than my tiny room can hold... very bad habit when you're broke.
- I have 14 blood-related aunts & uncles and 18 cousins.
- I believe Madeleine L'Engle, Joss Whedon, J.K. Rowling, Baz Luhrmann, Kenneth Branagh, Kevin Smith, Jim Henson, and Tom Stoppard are geniuses.
- I love living in a big city. I really don't think I could survive in a rural city/town.
- Despite my love of big cities, however, I can't stand LA. There's fun stuff to do there, but I would never, ever choose to live there.
- I love to start collecting things, but after a while, I stop and don't usually continue. Things I've collected in the past include: Barbie dolls, BtVS action figures, coins (though I still collect the special state quarters), comic books, and Marvel card series.
- I've seen Dave Matthews Band in concert 7 times. I guess you could say I'm a fan. ;)
- My friends and family mean the world to me.
- I've been creating websites since early 1999. I started with a small & very crappy personal site on Earthlink.
- Susan and I coined the term "EKT"... here's the explanation of it from my blog: EKT is slang for the word random. It was made up by Susan and I (and used most faithfully by Little Willow, who rocks for picking it up) at PBP 2003. The reasoning behind it is that while wandering around towards the ballroom at the American Legion Hall, we were passed by none other than Eddie Kaye Thomas. We were so surprised to see him there (because, as far as we knew, he had no connection to BtVS, Angel or Firefly) that we decided we would refer to anything random as "Eddie Kaye Thomas." This was later shortened (I think by Little Willow) to EKT since "Eddie Kaye Thomas" was a bit too much to say and/or type. wink And there you have it! So now you all have no excuse not to use it. Yes, Susan and I are weird, but whatever. It's fun. Btw, we later discovered that Eddie Kaye Thomas actually DID have a reason for being at PBP: He was helping to film a documentary for Adam Busch's band, Common Rotation.
